Wilder Outdoor Education

Wilder Outdoor Education is a Dunbar community interest company providing Forest school, beach school and curriculum led outdoor learning experiences for schools and community organisations.  We also offer an exciting programme of seasonal, school holiday woodland and coastal adventure camps for 7-14 yr olds.   All of our camps are completely unique – changing with the seasons and responding to the needs of the group.  As a community interest company we aim to ensure 25% of holiday camp spaces are fully funded for local families in need of financial support. 

Wilder is run by Diane Christopherson – a mum of 3, primary teacher, qualified Forest school leader and certified yoga teacher.  Diane is extremely passionate about reconnecting children to their local wild spaces whilst having fun and making new friends.  Diane says “All of my best childhood memories relate to time spent in nature with friends, siblings and often no adults around.  I had the freedom to explore, take risks, be adventurous, creative and allow my imagination to run wild.  Children remember the adventures you take them on, not the presents you buy them!”
