Description:

We take a good quality bike that is no longer wanted and overhaul it and pass it onto a deserving individual, along with cycle training if required.

The project has been running for 7 months -based in a shared container at Hallhill Sports Centre.

The container has a well-equipped workshop which is open for drop ins, currently Wed and Fri mornings 10-13.00 or by arrangement. Check the website for up-to-date times. We can assist people to maintain their bikes and teach basic bike maintenance. Bikes that are donated are repaired and passed on or taken to the Bike Station. The Bike Hub offers cycle training too. This can help people get back into cycling after a break.
The BikeHub is also home to the SD trailers which are available for members to borrow. One of which is shown in action below recycling a freezer. The Y frame flat bed trailer.

We also have a Brompton folding bike that you can borrow.

Do you have a bike you no longer need? If so, please donate it so that someone else can use it. Get in touch: bikehub@sustainingdunbar.org
