For their final concert the Van Baerle Trio build their programme round two magnificent masterpieces. Brahms’s third trio shows him in commanding, explosive form. Ravel wrote his trio on the eve of the Great War. Composed at lightning speed, it contains some of his most overwhelmingly intense music.
