Printmaking Workshop: Drypoint Etching

10:00 am - 12:00 pm May 3, 2025
Drypoint Etching is a printmaking process in the Intaglio family. Sharp tools/etching points are used to incise and scratch a picture into a plate or surface to create a channel which will hold ink. The surface ink is wiped clean and the ink left in the channels can then be printed onto paper using our etching press.
These workshops are suitable for complete beginners, creatives or printmakers wishing to have a fun creative experience.
During this workshop you will explore various dry point techniques. You'll learn how to ink your plate and successfully print out using our No.3 XL Gunning Press.
