Outdoor Yoga

7:00 pm - 8:00 pm July 8, 2025
The good weather is set to continue for the start of the week if you'd like to join Kosa Yoga for some active outdoor yoga! Find them at the Dunbar Clifftop trail (just head out to clifftop grass from the Dunbar Tennis Pavilion). Bring a mat and a warm layer. Complimentary @yogi tea after class.
Let the grass tickle your toes in this outdoor summer yoga practice! Located on the Dunbar clifftop grass area, we'll have the beautiful and dramatic backdrop of the Bass rock and plenty of nature to see and hear - seals lazing on the nearby rocks, gannets diving, sandmartins flying overhead. If we're lucky we might spot some dolphins....orcas....basking sharks.... they've all gone past this practice spot in the last year!
The practice is led by Diane Christopherson, a certified Iyengar yoga teacher since 2019 as well as director of Wilder Outdoor Education. After class you're welcome to stay for a yogi herbal tea and enjoy the view. Diane is outdoor first aid trained.
This class will be fairly active and cover a broad range of poses with changing themes each week. It is suitable for beginners (able to get up and down from ground unaided) and more experienced yogis. Each class will finish with Savasana and a quiet nature meditation. It's a good idea to bring extra layers so that you can be nice and cosy whilst you lie in Savasana and enjoy the sounds and sensations of nature.

The outoor class will run in fair to moderate weathers. You may need a waterproof jacket if it starts to rain.
