It is with great delight to be hosting a Gong Bath in Dunbar.
We will focus on feeling into the Spring vibe through the power of therapeutic sound with a cleansing blend from a sun gong and symphonic gong 7-8.30pm on Friday 4th April 2025.
Our session will begin with a gentle guided meditation using words and sounds to support our bodies, minds and senses to relax and ease tension into a comfortable position laying down (seating can be an option if required). Following this a combination of meditative sounds will combine from tsingshaws, singing bowls, shruti box, two beautifully resonating gongs, mantra and voice. This gong bath will encourage us to surrender to the continued efforts of what we cultivate for fruits to ripen and flowers to flourish.
Therapeutic sound can relieve stress, reduce tension, physical pain, help ease the mind to a point of clarity or a sense of feeling 're-set'. It is known to elevate moods to a positive state and boost general well-being. Frequently people have reported to having a great nights sleep after! To receive the sound experience it is best to lay on the floor however if you feel this is not possible for you please let Melissa know upon booking or prior to the event:
melissabradd.soundmusic@gmail.com
The event will begin at 7pm but you are welcome to arrive up to 10 minutes earlier to use the facilities and orientate.
* Please note that these sessions are for smaller groups of people so that there is a comfortable amount of space for you to settle into.
What do I bring? You are welcome to bring your own mat and blanket, you may wish to bring a pillow, eye-mask, thicker mat to lay on, sleeping bag, duvet, blow up bed and anything that will enhance your comfort such as a hot water bottle or hat. Wearing what you feel comfortable in is a bonus.
*** Please bring lots of warm garments for we do not know how our Scottish climate will present. Since this is the first time we will be in this space please bring extra layers and a hat for your head.
If you have any questions please email: melissabradd.soundmusic@gmail.com
Reviews from attendees from a session in East Lothian:
'Thank you again, I feel really refreshed and energised. I’m from Luxembourg visiting my sister and she treated me to Melissa’s sound bath. It was the most amazing experience, especially at this special time of year between Samhain and All Saints’ Day. I would highly recommend her.'
* Please note that if you are pregnant to email or message Melissa. Sessions are available for 3+ months into your pregnancy. If you have a medical condition please discuss with your GP or email Melissa prior to discuss any implications. Metallic implants may be stimulated by the sound.
