We begin the 26/27 campaign, by hosting newly formed Spartans FC, EOS U20’s. The Edinburgh club have entered a team in both the SLDFL and EoSFDL, ahead of the 26/27 campaign. The Edinburgh club clearly have a long standing reputation, of being a strong U20’s outfit, we expect nothing different tonight. Spartans ran an U18 SERYFA Division 1 side last season, therefore the newly formed EOS squad, are no doubt going to be a talented outfit. Last season, we faced the SLDFL side, losing out 2-4 at New Countess Park, in the Combined Challenge Cup.

For the young Seasiders, it’s been 3 wins and 3 defeats in pre-season, but plenty of positives to take from the period. Some excellent football played and with a year of experience under the belt, the squad have high hopes we can build on last season. Last season, we began our 25/26 campaign, with a 0-5 win away to the previous season’s undefeated league champions, Musselburgh Athletic FC. Last time we began our league campaign at home, it was the 24/25 season, where we edged out Penicuik Athletic FC, 4-3, in a thrilling encounter at Hallhill Sports Centre.

On the squad front, it’s a full house expected to be available. Our new signings Finlay Goldie and Callum McEwan, have had a strong pre-season, having joined up with the squad. Jay Miller currently leads the way with goals, currently on 5 so far. There have been a number of very strong performances since June, therefore it will be a challenging task to pick the first starting eleven, of the season tonight.

For the first time since 2022, we begin the new campaign, at New Countess Park. Everyone amongst the squad would greatly appreciate it, if you can give the squad a strong backing, tonight.
