Dunbar Community Council Meeting

7:00 pm - 8:00 pm June 17, 2024
Dunbar Town House
High Street
Dunbar, EH42 1ER

Community councils are the most local tier of statutory representation in Scotland, bridging the gap between the local council and the community. They are there to help to make public bodies aware of the opinions and needs of the communities they represent.

Their primary purpose is to ascertain and express the views of the community to the local authority and other public bodies.

Many community councils also involve themselves in a wide range of other activities including fundraising, organising community events, undertaking environmental and educational projects and much more.

Dunbar Community Council is an active player in community matters, promoting and often funding, if in a small way community projects, commenting on public consultations and representing your views to the local authority. DCC contributes to making your community a better place to live, work and play in.

We welcome the public and representatives of the press to our council meetings. The law requires that every council, cabinet or committee meeting is open to the public. The only exception is when confidential or exempt information is considered.
