Carnival of the Animals with Roger McGough and NYCOS National Girls Choir

Saint-Saëns’s Carnival of the Animals has inspired and delighted many; who can forget the evocative ‘Hens and Cockerels’, the beautiful ‘Swan’, the atmospheric ‘Aquarium’ and the hilarious ‘Creatures with Long Ears’ to name but a few.

Gwyn Arch set these melodies to words which will be performed by the NYCOS National Girls Choir while national treasure Roger McGough, who was inspired to write his own responses to each movement, will read his hilarious poems.

This is a family concert like no other – an introduction to this wonderful music for children, and a walk down memory lane for adults. Not to be missed.
