Wines of Germany and Austria

Germany and Austria are both incredibly important wine-producing countries, with some outstanding delicate wines. They range from the elegant Rieslings with racing acidity from the Mosel valley in Northern Germany to the spicy yet fresh reds made from the Blauer Zweigelt grape in Austria. These are perfect wines for drinking in the spring.

This tasting will explore eight different wines (mainly whites but also some reds) from across Germany and Austria – including one or two very special dessert wines at the end!

The evening will end with a light supper of bread and cheese - and the chance to retaste the wines with the food.

There is no fixed charge for this event, but the event is arranged in support of the Scottish Refugee Council and we suggest a donation of around £25/person (though please give more if you are able to do so).

Please note that a separate booking is needed for each person attending - so if you are booking two people please go through the booking process for each person. If you are booking for a guest please book with the name of the person attending - but you can give your own email if you would like the confirmation to come to yourself.
