Archaeology Fortnight 2022

Online presentation

Historically, the railway station was a focal point of communities as people and goods all travelled by train. The coming of the railway to East Lothian in the 1840s revolutionised both transport and society in East Lothian. This online presentation (with audio) highlights some historical information on the branch lines that were laid from the main line to Dirleton, North Berwick, Haddington and other villages in the county.

This presentation will be premiered here at 10:00 am on Tuesday 13 September, and will be available to view from this time.
