Our pharmacy has been at the heart of the community since 1898. It was in the hands of the Aitken family until 1981. Present owner Gordon Coventry BSc joined the pharmacy as a partner in 1988 and took full personal control since 1994. Gordon has an honours degree in Pharmacy from Strathclyde University in Scotland. He lives in Dunbar and has recently been President of the local Rotary Club. He prides himself in the fact that he is always in personal control of his pharmacy and is always available to help with any queries that may arise.
Our success is down to our excellent staff, who have all undertaken Pharmaceutical General Council approved courses allowing them to give you a first class service whether you need to purchase a medicine or have symptoms and need advice on the best thing to purchase. Our friendly efficient dispensing teams handles high volumes of prescriptions but are still available to help you with your medicine queries as well us providing services under the NHS Scotland contract which are mentioned on other parts of the website. These include a pharmacy stop smoking service, minor ailment scheme and the new Chronic Medication Service.
Standard operating procedures are in place to ensure all stages of the dispensing process are performed to high standards.
