Dunbar Hockey Club has been running since 1981, when 3 former pupils of Dunbar Grammar School decided they needed a chance to play Hockey at a competitive senior level so decided to start it up. Back then we started in Division six but managed to progress all the way to Division one. We are currently sitting in Division three.
We are a very sociable Club and enjoy training on a Thurs evening, along with various other events, tours, and just getting together and having a laugh!
Dunbar Junior Hockey Club was started around 1998 and has continued to grow massively over the years, with many juniors playing at adult level now. The continuous support of junior coaches has helped the kids play in various tournaments and games throughout Edinburgh, the Lothian's and the Borders.
In both our junior and adult sections we always encourage new players to come along (whether you have held a hockey stick before or not) and we promise you will always receive the warmest of welcomes (even on the rather chilly nights)!
