A great opportunity to learn more about hedgerows, their lifecycles and management with leading hedgerow expert, Megan Gimber, from the People's Trust for Endangered Species. You will be able to hear about hedgerow lifecycles; hedgerow management; and the benefits to farming and to wildlife.
The morning will be split into two sections. You are welcome to attend all of it or just the first part of the morning:
The training will include:
- A talk delivered by Megan Gimber on the:
- benefits of hedgerow for nature and for farming
- the life cycle of a hedge
- how to establish and maintain hedges effectively
- how to rejuvenate and restore hedges effectively
- A short walk observing nearby hedges, their condition and recommended management practices, with opportunities to have your questions answered
