This Sunday Discovery is going on a Summer Saunter! Join us on a leisurely summer pilgrimage from Prestonkirk to Dunbar (around 4.5 miles), with moments to pause and reflect together as we go.
Everyone is welcome, but please ensure you are able to walk the distance.
Here’s the essential info you need:

When?
Sunday 20th July, 10:30am
Where?
Starting from East Linton, we will be following the John Muir Way along the River Tyne to Dunbar.
We can park in the car park at Prestonkirk in East Linton, and will meet there to start the walk. The saunter will finish in Dunbar so please make arrangements to car share where possible and to collect your car from East Linton afterwards.
There is a regular X7 service between East Linton and Dunbar if you need to travel to the start by bus.
What do I need to bring?
• Sun hat and sun cream - at the moment the weather forecast looks good.
• Sensible shoes / sandals - the route is a mix of gravel and dirt path, and is mostly flat Please wear something you’re happy to walk a few miles in.
• Sandwiches - or whatever you prefer in your packed lunch. We’ll stop to eat together near the end of the walk.
• Snacks - in case you get peckish before lunch.
• Something to sip - there won’t be anywhere to get water on the route so please bring some with you.
Anything else I need to know?
We will walk at a gentle pace, occasionally pausing for moments of thought and reflection.
As we journey along, there will be prompts to help us focus and connect, opportunities for stillness and spaces for movement.
